Sanwo-Olu Urges LJLA Graduates to Build Lasting Institutions

On Friday, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu attended the graduation ceremony for the third cohort of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Ikeja GRA, Lagos. He stated that the academy was not merely a project of his administration but an enduring institution aimed at preparing future leaders for the state.

Sanwo-Olu noted that this would be the last graduation ceremony he would attend as governor, highlighting the academy's legal backing to ensure its continuity beyond his tenure. He articulated the significance of leadership in managing public institutions and infrastructure, asserting that the quality of leadership is crucial for sustainable development.

Sanwo-Olu reflected on his administration's infrastructure projects and emphasized that capable individuals are essential for the effective management of these assets. He invoked the legacy of the late Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande, after whom the academy is named, underscoring the importance of preparing the next generation of leaders for Lagos.
