Sanwo-Olu Launches Education Fund for Out-of-School Children

On Friday, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State will unveil the Lagos State Education Access Fund, aimed at addressing the challenges faced by out-of-school children in the state. The launch event is scheduled for 6:00 PM at the State House Marina.

According to a statement from the Lagos State Government's Facebook page, the initiative will be implemented in partnership with the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board and the Education Outcomes Fund. The fund is designed to tackle issues related to school children in Lagos and ensure that every child has access to quality education.

It will provide support to vulnerable children and their parents, offering them a second chance at education for a brighter future. The program will also bring together stakeholders and strategic partners in education to discuss effective strategies for implementing initiatives that improve access to basic education.

The initiative is supported by the Optimu Foundation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Japan.
