Sanwo-Olu Launches Electrification Projects in Badagry

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu unveiled electrification projects in the Gbaji, Seme, Owod, and Apa areas of Badagry West Local Council. The initiative aims to improve power supply for thousands of homes and businesses along the corridor.

Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat emphasized that the electrification work would significantly strengthen power distribution in the area, describing the development as an important milestone for the people of Badagry West LCDA. The project, which was commissioned on the same day, is expected to restore confidence and unlock economic opportunities for the community, allowing businesses to extend operating hours and improve the quality of life for families.

Sanwo-Olu noted that the electrification aligns with the administration's development agenda, particularly in expanding energy access and building resilient infrastructure. He commended the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission for their dedication to delivering the project.
