Sanwo-Olu Seeks Legislative Support for Ongoing Projects

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State addressed the Lagos State House of Assembly, seeking their support to complete ongoing projects before the end of his administration. He highlighted the importance of collaboration between the executive and legislative arms of government, praising Speaker Mudashiru Obasa and the cordial relationship within the House.

Sanwo-Olu emphasized the need for legislative backing to pass critical laws that would enable a multimodal transport framework and fiscal instruments to support infrastructure development. He committed to completing outstanding milestones in transport infrastructure by the end of his term and proposed a comprehensive transit bill to ensure a structured legacy for future administrations.

Additionally, he plans to convene a citizen assembly to promote equal participation among underrepresented communities. Sanwo-Olu also mentioned ongoing social intervention programs, including the Mother, Infant, and Child Development Program, aimed at improving access to primary healthcare services for vulnerable populations.
