Sanwo-Olu Praises Rescue of Oyo Students and Teachers

On May 15, 2027, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu commended the successful rescue operation of 55 schoolchildren and teachers who were kidnapped in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo-Olu expressed relief over the safe return of the victims.

He acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force, Department of State Services, and Nigeria Police Force, which contributed to the successful release of the abductees. Sanwo-Olu extended his solidarity to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and the people of Ogbomoso, emphasizing that the success of the operation restored hope not only for the affected families but also for residents across the South West and the nation at large.

He praised the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration to tackling insecurity and protecting Nigerian lives.
