Saraki Attends Global Partnership Workshop in Italy

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki joined global leaders and policy experts at a workshop organized by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in Lake Como, Italy, from June 29 to July 1. The workshop, themed "Big Daddy Gone: Global Partnership Without U.S.

Leadership," aimed to discuss the implications of the gradual reduction of U.S. engagement in global partnerships and explore emerging opportunities in various regions. Saraki is expected to present an African perspective during the fifth panel of the workshop on Tuesday, where he will address the development policies related to the withdrawal of the U.S. from international development opportunities.

His participation is based on his experience in both the private and public sectors, including his tenure as Senate President and as Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum. The workshop will also feature discussions on future strategic priorities for U.S. and German approaches to international partnerships and emerging global alliances.

Participants include representatives from Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Israel, Italy, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Australia, India, Argentina, Venezuela, the Philippines, Chile, Liberia, and Poland.
