SAZUCELF 2026: Promoting Unity Through Cultural Diversity

During the second cultural exhibit and language fair, SAZUCELF 2026, held at Saadu Zungur University in Bauchi, Professor Fatimah Tahir, the Vice Chancellor, called for unity through cultural diversity among Nigerians. She stressed the need for peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and mutual respect, highlighting the rich cultural and linguistic diversity within the university community.

The event, which followed a successful maiden edition last year, aimed to promote cultural interaction and understanding in an academic environment. Tahir noted the establishment of a dedicated unit to document the university's cultural and linguistic heritage and suggested creating a permanent cultural corner to display artifacts from various ethnic groups.

Dr. Bala Azar, the chairman of the local organizing committee, described Nigeria's cultural and linguistic diversity as an invaluable treasure that defines the nation's identity.

The festival featured 17 cultural groups, including two Hausa language clubs, showcasing traditional cuisine, music, and dance performances.
