Saraki Urges PDP Leaders to Unite for 2027 Elections

Bukola Saraki, a prominent figure in the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has called on party leaders to unite and plan effectively for the upcoming 2027 elections. This statement follows a Supreme Court verdict that rendered certain actions of the party null and void.

Saraki, addressing the PDP's national convention in Ibadan, emphasized the importance of avoiding prolonged litigation and instead focusing on reconciliation within the party. He highlighted the need for a disciplined approach and adherence to the rule of law as essential for rebuilding the party's credibility.

Saraki also recognized the leadership of the party and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in ensuring the party's success across Nigeria's 36 states. He urged members to see beyond recent court losses and work towards creating a credible alternative for Nigerians, stressing that the PDP must be prepared to contest effectively in the 2027 elections.
