SDP Candidate Adebayo Critiques Tinubu's Economic Policies

Adewol Adebayo, the presidential candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2027 general elections, criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration for exacerbating economic hardships in Nigeria. In a statement issued on Friday, coinciding with the third anniversary of Tinubu's administration, Adebayo highlighted the increasing difficulty Nigerians face in affording basic necessities such as food, healthcare, and education.

He pointed out that recent economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies, have placed additional burdens on citizens. Adebayo stressed the importance of political diversity and warned against the dangers of a single-party rule, advocating for a political landscape that reflects various ideologies and interests.

He outlined SDP's preparations for the 2027 elections, stating that the party will field candidates for governorship, senatorial, and House of Representatives positions across the country. Additionally, Oba Oladipo Oladotun expressed concerns about insecurity and economic hardship, urging the protection of Nigeria's multiparty democracy.
