SEC Advocates for Stronger Female Presence in Capital Market

During an event at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) headquarters in Abuja to commemorate International Women's Day, Dr. Emomotimi Agama, the Director General of SEC, emphasized the importance of a stronger female presence in Nigeria's capital market.

He noted that women are essential pillars of the financial system and deserve greater recognition for their contributions. The event featured various speakers, including Toyin Alabi, who highlighted the challenges women face in financial empowerment and the importance of making informed investment decisions.

Alabi stressed that financial independence requires women to focus on saving and wealth creation. Frana Chukwuogor and Bola Ajomal also spoke about the significant impact women have within the capital market and the necessity of mentorship and leadership opportunities for women.

The discussions underscored the need for women's active participation in combating financial fraud and shaping societal contributions positively.
