TCN CEO Abdulaziz Promises Power Delivery Improvements

Sule Ahm Abdulaziz, the Managing Director/CEO of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), held a town hall meeting at TCN's corporate headquarters in Abuja, where he made fresh commitments for his second term following his reappointment by President Bola Tinubu. Abdulaziz promised a result-driven approach aimed at significantly improving bulk power delivery and ensuring the transmission network becomes viable and reliable for Nigerians.

He highlighted the progress made in the past decade, including an increase in grid capacity from 5,000 megawatts in 2015 to 8,700 megawatts today, driven by sustained investments in transmission infrastructure. He acknowledged the support of major donors like the World Bank and the African Development Bank in strengthening the grid capacity.

Abdulaziz also thanked the management team and staff for their dedication and emphasized the need for continued collaboration to achieve TCN's goals, which are crucial for stabilizing and reliably supplying electricity.
