TCN's Abdulaziz Pledges Improved Power Delivery in Second Term

Engr Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz, the Managing Director and CEO of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), has committed to a result-driven second term aimed at significantly enhancing bulk power delivery and the reliability of the transmission network in Nigeria. This pledge was made during his first town hall meeting with TCN staff at the corporate headquarters in Abuja, following his reappointment by President Bola Tinubu for a second four-year term.

Abdulaziz emphasized the importance of aligning TCN's operations with the President's Renewed Hope Agenda for the power sector, which includes implementing practical measures for sustainable reform. He highlighted that TCN has made verifiable progress over the past decade, increasing grid capacity from 5,000 megawatts in 2015 to 8,700 megawatts today, driven by sustained investments in transmission infrastructure.

Notably, TCN installed 82 transformers in 23 months, with significant projects across various states. Abdulaziz thanked the management team and staff for their dedication and collaboration, indicating a commitment to further growth and stability in Nigeria's power supply.
