APC Calls Makinde's Surveillance Aircraft Claims a Scam

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has accused Governor Seyi Makinde of perpetrating a scam regarding the delivery of two security surveillance aircraft. This statement follows a fresh attack by suspected bandits on a base for Operation Burst, a security outfit in the state, which occurred along the Igbeti/Igboho road early on Sunday.

The bandits reportedly stole various properties, including a generator and a motorcycle. In a statement signed by APC's Publicity Secretary, Wasiu Sadare, the party expressed concern over the security situation in Oyo State, stating that the attack revealed significant security lapses.

The APC criticized the lack of operational surveillance aircraft to track the attackers during the incident, emphasizing that since the announcement of the aircraft's delivery, there has been no evidence of their deployment. The statement concluded that the situation indicates the narrative surrounding the surveillance aircraft is misleading.
