Atiku Critiques Tinubu After Abba Adamu's Death

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration in light of the kidnapping and subsequent death of former House of Representatives member Abba Adamu, who represented the Guri/Kiri/Kasamma/Birniwa Federal Constituency from 2007 to 2011. Adamu was kidnapped along the Kaduna-Abuja highway while traveling from Kano to Abuja.

Reports indicate that he was held captive for nine days before his death. In a statement released in Abuja by his aide Phrank Shaibu, Atiku expressed that this incident underscores the deteriorating security situation in Nigeria under Tinubu's administration.

He stated that the country is under siege and that the government appears overwhelmed, indifferent, or incompetent in addressing the dangers facing the nation. Atiku emphasized that the frequency of kidnappings and attacks has made ordinary Nigerians feel unsafe, questioning the effectiveness of the government's security strategies and demanding accountability.
