The Senate President's Chief of Staff, Chinedu Akubueze, announced the new date without providing a reason for the delay. The sudden shift has caused inconvenience, with the memo urging senators to adjust their schedules accordingly.

The National Assembly Service Commission recently approved Emmanuel Odo as the Acting Clerk of the Senate. The reason for the postponement remains undisclosed.
