Edo South Aspirant Urges APC to Support Qualified Candidates

Omoregi Ogbeid Ihama, an aspirant for the Edo South senatorial seat, made an appeal to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to support the best candidates for the party's ticket, emphasizing that such tickets should not be treated as gifts. During his visit to Benin, he declared his intent to contest for the Senate, highlighting his qualifications, including two previous terms in the House of Representatives.

He believes his experience equips him for the responsibilities of the role. Ogbeid Ihama also recounted challenges faced during his previous campaign under the People's Democratic Party (PDP), including the destruction of his campaign billboards.

He noted that he joined the APC to enhance his chances of election success. He further appealed for recognition of the changing political landscape, advocating for increased youth representation in the Senate to bring energy and strength to the seven local government areas in Edo South.
