Senate Urges FCT Doctors to End Strike - Promises Swift Action on Demands

The Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory has urged striking resident doctors in the FCT to end their industrial action, promising swift action on their demands. The committee, led by Chairman Senator David Jimkuta, acknowledged the legitimacy of the doctors' concerns and pledged to intervene directly with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

The strike, declared last week by NARD FCT, has been taking a toll on patients relying on public healthcare facilities in the capital. The Senate emphasized the importance of the doctors' return to work to alleviate the suffering of the people.
