Senator Abba Moro Reaffirms Loyalty to PDP Amid Defections

Senator Abba Patrick Moro, representing the Benue South Senatorial District, publicly reaffirmed his loyalty to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) during a significant event held in Otukpo Local Government Area, Benue State. This statement comes amid a wave of defections to the All Progressives Congress (APC), where many members from various political parties, including the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Labour Party (LP), have switched allegiance.

At the event, Moro addressed a large crowd, emphasizing his readiness to work towards victory in the 2027 elections. He also received a courtesy visit from APC stakeholders led by Adaji Elijah, who accused the APC of failing to adequately protect lives and property, indicating a loss of confidence in the party.

Moro pointed out the internal divisions within the APC in Benue State as a reason for his decision to remain with the PDP, highlighting the factionalism that has emerged within the party.
