Senator Ahmed Wadada Resigns from SDP Citing Internal Party Disputes

Senator Ahmed Wadada has officially resigned from the Social Democratic Party (SDP), citing prolonged internal disputes within the party. In his resignation letter addressed to the party chairman, Wadada described the decision as difficult but necessary due to the ongoing conflicts and divisions within the SDP.

He expressed gratitude for the experience gained in the party but stated that the internal crisis had escalated to a point where it was untenable for him to continue his membership. Wadada did not reveal his next political move, leaving speculation about his future affiliation ahead of the upcoming elections.

Notably, during a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on August 13, Wadada praised the president's performance and hinted at a possible alignment with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition platform.
