Aniekan Bassey Applauds Umo Eno's Youth Empowerment Efforts

Senator Aniekan Bassey, representing the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District, commended Governor Umo Eno for his efforts in expanding youth empowerment and grassroots development initiatives in Akwa Ibom State. During the commissioning of a Youth Development Centre in Uruan Local Government Area, part of the state's 39th anniversary celebrations, Bassey noted that the establishment of these centres across all 31 Local Government Areas is a vital investment in the future of young Akwa Ibomites.

He highlighted the community's positive response to the governor's initiatives, which include skills training and infrastructure development. Representing the governor at the event, Usoro Akpabio, Managing Director and CEO of the South South Development Commission, emphasized the centre's role in fostering skills and entrepreneurship among youth.

Other speakers, including Dr. Itoro Etim and Dr. Ekerette Ekanem, echoed the sentiment that the initiative would empower young people to compete globally and become entrepreneurs.
