Cross River State Empowers 4,500 Youths with Skills Training

Cross River State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, reaffirmed his administration's commitment to youth empowerment by announcing the training of 4,500 youths in diverse vocational and emerging skills. This announcement was made through Hon. Sylvester Agabi, the Deputy Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, at a youth training and empowerment programme.

Governor Otu acknowledged the progress made in his administration's first three years while emphasizing the need for continued development across the state. He highlighted the importance of young people as critical stakeholders in Cross River's development and pledged to enhance partnerships that create opportunities for skill acquisition.

The training included areas such as digital marketing, welding, electrical installation, and artificial intelligence. Dr. Julius Kijuo, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development and Mobilization, coordinated the initiative and stressed the importance of providing sustainable livelihoods through practical skills.

He encouraged beneficiaries to utilize their skills for entrepreneurship and economic development.
