Bodejo Arrested and Handed to EFCC Amid Political Tensions

Bodejo, a senatorial aspirant representing the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, was arrested on Thursday night and later handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). His aide, Malam Umar, reported that Bodejo was moved to Abuja for further investigation.

The specific nature of the offenses committed by Bodejo has not been disclosed. Family members have alleged that the arrest was orchestrated by government officials and politicians in Taraba State due to Bodejo's growing popularity in the race for the Taraba Central senatorial seat.

Umar suggested that the arrest was a tactic to prevent Bodejo from participating in the screening exercise for the senatorial candidacy, indicating a politically motivated backdrop to the incident.
