Senegal Rejects CAF's Ruling on AFCON 2025 Title

The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has rejected the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) decision to award Morocco the title of AFCON 2025 winners. This ruling followed a controversial match on January 19, where Senegalese players briefly left the pitch due to a disallowed goal and a penalty awarded to Morocco.

The CAF's appeal committee ruled that Senegal's conduct violated Articles 82 and 84 of the competition regulations, leading to a forfeiture of the match with a record score of 3-0 in favor of the Moroccan team. The FSF criticized this decision, stating it damages the credibility of African football and announced plans to file an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland.
