Senegal to Parade AFCON Trophy Despite CAF Ruling

Senegal's football team intends to parade the Africa Cup of Nations trophy despite a ruling from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) that stripped them of the title. The team, known as the Lions of Teranga, had claimed their second AFCON title on January 18, following a chaotic final where players walked off the pitch due to a stoppage time penalty awarded to their opponents.

The CAF awarded Morocco a 3-0 victory in a recent judgment. The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), under the presidency of Abdoulaye Fall, has publicly rejected this decision, describing it as a "blatant unprecedented administrative robbery" in the history of Senegalese football.

Fall announced during a media conference in Paris that the FSF will not compromise its values and will continue to fight against the ruling. A trophy parade is scheduled to take place during a friendly match at the Stade de France on Saturday.
