Seplat Energy Declares Interim and Special Dividend 2026
Seplat Energy Plc has announced an interim dividend of US5 cents and a special dividend of US7 cents per ordinary share for the period ended June 30, 2026. The filing details qualification dates, payment currency options, and a payment date of on or around August 28, 2026.
Seplat Energy Plc, listed on both the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and London Stock Exchange (LSE), has announced a combined dividend of US12 cents per ordinary share, comprising an interim dividend of US5 cents and a special dividend of US7 cents, both subject to applicable withholding tax.
Shareholders must appear on the Register of Members as at the close of business on August 13, 2026 to qualify. The NGX register will close on August 14, 2026, while the LSE ex-dividend date is August 12, 2026.
Dividends will be paid in either Naira or US dollars. NGX shareholders without a valid Certificate of Capital Importation (CCI) will receive payment in Naira by default. Those holding a valid CCI will receive US dollars by default but may elect to receive Naira instead. LSE depository interest holders will be paid in US dollars by default.
The Naira exchange rate will be determined by reference to the applicable US dollar rate on August 12, 2026, and communicated to shareholders on August 13, 2026. Payment is scheduled on or around August 28, 2026, to shareholders who have completed e-dividend registration with Datamax Registrars Limited, the company's Nigerian registrar.
