Shehu Sani and Lawal Adamu Usman Clash Over Senate Role

Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna Central, and Lawal Adamu Usman, currently serving in the Senate, engaged in a war of words over legislative performance. Usman, known as Mr.

Lawal, made a statement on his Facebook page criticizing Sani for lacking political principles and seeking public attention after leaving office. Although Usman did not mention Sani by name, his remarks were widely interpreted as a direct attack.

He alleged that Sani's tenure was characterized by frivolous pursuits rather than impactful legislation. In response, Sani took to Facebook to accuse Usman and other opposition senators from Kaduna State of failing to address key national issues during plenary sessions, instead opting for social media commentary.

Sani labeled this behavior as cowardly and hypocritical, asserting that Usman and his colleagues preferred to comment online rather than confront significant issues such as foreign borrowing and fuel subsidy removal in the Senate.
