Sheraton Lagos Hotel Launches Gas Generator for Sustainability

Sheraton Lagos Hotel inaugurated a newly installed gas generator as part of its long-term strategy to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs. The event took place at the hotel premises and featured Mr.

Theophilus Eniola Netufo, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ikeja Hotel PLC, the hotel's parent company. Martin Bredenoord, the General Manager of Sheraton Lagos Hotel, highlighted the collaboration with Marriott and the significance of the project in achieving sustainability goals.

The gas generator is expected to lower costs and emissions, contributing to cleaner air and a healthier environment. The initiative aligns with the hotel's commitment to corporate social responsibility and environmental governance, aiming for a substantial reduction in CO2 emissions.

The gas generator was purchased outright, marking a significant investment by Ikeja Hotel PLC. The project also includes plans for electric vehicle charging stations and solar energy contributions, showcasing a comprehensive approach to sustainable energy solutions.
