Shettima to Attend APC Reception for Gov Lawal in Zamfara

Vice President Kashim Shettima is expected to visit Zamfara State on Tuesday for a grand reception organized by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to honor Governor Dauda Lawal. The state APC chairman, Maikatako, disclosed this during a stakeholders' meeting held at the party's secretariat in Gusau on Saturday.

He described the governor's defection to the APC as a welcome development and urged party members across the state to turn out in large numbers for the event. Maikatako emphasized that Shettima's visit is crucial for strengthening the party ahead of future elections.

He called on members to set aside internal differences and embrace unity within the party. Additionally, former state APC chairman Lawali Liman appealed to members to prioritize unity at the ward and local government levels, stressing that the party remains a united platform pursuing common goals for its success.
