VP Shettima Launches Vision 2050 Blueprint for South East Economic Development

Vice President Kashim Shettima unveiled the Vision 2050 Blueprint in Enugu, outlining a 25-year development plan for the economic advancement of the South East region. The blueprint aims to position the region as a central pillar in Nigeria's economic future.

President Bola Tinubu approved the establishment of the South East Investment Company Limited to drive development initiatives and address post-war infrastructure gaps. Shettima stressed the importance of a strategic transformation approach over routine administrative activities to enhance the region's competitiveness.

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State and other regional leaders endorsed the Vision 2050, highlighting the potential for economic growth and job creation. Governors Alex Otti and Francis Nwifuru expressed support for the plan, emphasizing the need for unity and synergy to unlock the region's economic potential.
