Shettima Represents Tinubu at Wadagni's Inauguration

Vice President Kashim Shettima departed Abuja on Saturday to attend the inauguration of Romuald Wadagni as President of the Benin Republic. He is representing President Bola Tinubu at this significant event, which is scheduled to take place at the presidential palace in Cotonou on Sunday, May 24.

Stanlei Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communication, announced Shettima's trip. The Vice President will be joined by leaders from across Africa, emphasizing the deep historical, socio-cultural, and economic ties between Nigeria and Benin.

Nkwocha noted that the visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in areas such as border security, trade policy, and energy cooperation. Shettima is accompanied by senior aides and top government officials on this trip.
