FEC Approves N58.47 Trillion 2026 Budget Proposal Led by Shettima

The Federal Executive Council (FEC), led by Kashim Shettima, approved a N58.47 trillion 2026 budget proposal in Abuja. The budget includes a 6% increase from 2025, with significant allocations for capital expenditure, debt servicing, and personnel costs.

Tanimu Yakubu, the Director-General of the Budget Office, highlighted the emphasis on completing ongoing projects and ensuring value for money. The budget aims to strike a balance in macroeconomic planning.

The proposal will be formally presented to the National Assembly for further deliberation.
