Shettima: Tinubu Prioritizes Transport Infrastructure for Welfare

On Monday, Vice-President Kashim Shettima announced President Bola Tinubu's commitment to improving transport infrastructure to support Nigerian transporters. Speaking in Abuja during the inauguration of the National Working Committee of the National Structure of Transporters for Tinubu/Shettima 2027, Shettima highlighted the administration's focus on reducing transportation costs and enhancing connectivity as vital for economic growth.

He emphasized the crucial role of transport workers in facilitating movement across the nation, stating that their efforts directly impact various sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, and education. Shettima, represented by Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, acknowledged transport workers as key contributors to national productivity and urged them to engage in peaceful, issue-based campaigns for Tinubu's re-election.

He recalled a previous meeting on June 15, 2026, where he welcomed transport workers to support the government's agenda, underscoring their importance in promoting national interests and participating in the democratic process.
