Tinubu Administration Focuses on Reducing Transport Costs

On Monday in Abuja, Kashim Shettima, the Vice President of Nigeria, spoke during the inauguration of the National Working Committee of the National Structure of Transporters for Tinubu/Shettima 2027. He stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration is actively working to reduce transportation costs, viewing connectivity as an economic necessity.

Represented by Sen. Ibrahim Hadeija, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Shettima acknowledged the vital role of transport workers in connecting communities and facilitating economic activities. He emphasized that the transportation sector is crucial for farmers, manufacturers, traders, students, and investors.

Shettima noted that every improvement in transportation efficiency contributes to national productivity. He reiterated the administration's commitment to enhancing infrastructure across highways, rail corridors, and ports, and recognized transport workers as key partners in promoting the nation's interests and participating in the democratic process.
