Shettima to Welcome Zamfara Governor into APC Tuesday

Vice President Kashim Shettima is set to formally welcome Zamfara Governor Dauda Lawal into the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday. This announcement was made by the state APC chairman, Tukur Danfulani, during a meeting with party stakeholders in Gusau, the state capital.

Danfulani expressed the party's pleasure regarding Lawal's recent defection to the APC, stating that Zamfara has long been a stronghold for the party. He noted that Lawal's decision to return to the APC is significant, as it reinforces the party's position ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Danfulani urged all APC members across the 147 wards and 14 local government areas of the state to honor the presidential visit, which aims to strengthen and boost the party's popularity. Former state APC chairman Lawal M.
