Shettima to Welcome Zamfara Governor Lawal into APC

Vice President Kashim Shettima is set to formally welcome Zamfara Governor Dauda Lawal into the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday. This announcement was made by the state APC chairman, Tukur Danfulani, during a meeting with party stakeholders in Gusau on Saturday.

Danfulani expressed the party's pleasure regarding Governor Lawal's recent defection to the APC, stating that the vice president, alongside the national leadership of the party, will visit Zamfara to mark this occasion. He emphasized that Zamfara has long been a stronghold of the APC and that Lawal's return is a significant step.

Danfulani urged all party members across the 147 wards and 14 local government areas of the state to honor the presidential visit, which aims to strengthen and boost the APC's popularity ahead of the 2027 general elections. Former state APC chairman Lawal M.
