Shettima Condoles El-Rufai on Mother's Passing

On Monday, Vice President Kashim Shettima visited former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai to offer his condolences following the death of El-Rufai's mother, Hajiya Fatima Umma. She passed away on March 27, 2026, in Cairo, Egypt, at the age of 96.

During his visit to El-Rufai's family residence in Abuja, Shettima emphasized the need for unity among Nigerians despite political differences. He praised the late matriarch and expressed his sorrow over her passing.

The visit also included former Bauchi State Governor Adamu Muazu, former Chief of Army Staff General Abdurrahman Dambazau, and other notable figures such as Abdullahi Sarkin Gobir, a member representing Kaduna North, and Bello and Bashir El-Rufai.
