Nosa Rex Reflects on Career Evolution in Nollywood

Nosa Rex, a Nollywood actor and filmmaker, graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma, Edo State. He transitioned from being known as an "Asaba-based actor" to a nationally recognized figure in the film industry.

In an interview, he explained that he viewed Asaba as a foundational step in his career, acknowledging that many successful actors began their journeys in similar grassroots environments. Nosa Rex, who was born and raised in Lagos, participated in church dramas during his childhood, which sparked his interest in acting.

After completing his education, he moved to Asaba to pursue acting professionally, where he became inspired by established actors like Olu Jacobs, Jim Iyke, and Mike Ezuruonye. He joined the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) after realizing its importance in his career, demonstrating his intentional approach to evolving within the industry.
