Gov. Abiodun Urges Ogun Youths to Shun Anti-Social Behaviors and Embrace Skill Development

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun addressed youths during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2026 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Batch Stream 1 at the Gateway International Stadium in Sagamu. He emphasized the need for youths to avoid anti-social behaviors and instead focus on diligence, purposefulness, innovation, and compassion.

The Governor highlighted the government's efforts in training over 22,000 youths in software development, cybersecurity, drone technology, digital entrepreneurship, and other skills relevant to the global digital economy. Additionally, significant investments have been made in upgrading sports infrastructure across the state to promote youth participation in sports and creativity.

The NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Olayinka Nasamu, emphasized the importance of instilling values, discipline, and leadership skills in the corps members.

A total of 3,198 corps members, comprising 1,314 males and 1,884 females, were registered for the program, which aims to equip them with vocational skills for self-reliance.
