Ribadu Criticized for UK Trip Amid Maiduguri Bombing

Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA), was criticized by Christoph Musa, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), for his trip to the United Kingdom while bomb blasts occurred in Maiduguri, Borno State. Musa pointed out the irony of Ribadu "sipping tea" in the UK as violence erupted back home, emphasizing the disconnect between the government officials' actions and the pressing security issues in Nigeria.

This criticism coincided with President Bola Tinubu's state visit to the UK, during which Ribadu was present alongside other top government officials. The bomb blast in Maiduguri occurred just as President Tinubu was traveling, highlighting the ongoing security challenges facing the nation and raising questions about the priorities of its leaders.
