Six Arrested for N71 Million Fraud in Ondo State

The Ondo State Police Command arrested six suspects for their alleged involvement in a N71 million fraud concerning the unauthorized sale of three heavy-duty vehicles. The suspects, identified as Adeola Kolawole (56), Alhaji Gani Bello (73), Oladoja Akeem (56), Wasiu Adigun (55), Azeez Yusuf (49), and Ojo Mudasiru (40), were apprehended following intelligence-led investigations.

The case originated from a complaint made on May 22, 2026, regarding the sale of a low loader truck, tipper truck, and small truck valued at approximately N71 million. The principal suspect, Kolawole, had initially agreed to arrange the sale but later sold the vehicles without authorization.

A subsequent report on May 13, 2026, prompted police action, leading to a comprehensive investigation. The suspects reportedly confessed during interrogation, providing vital leads that enabled the police to track down and arrest them.

The Ondo State Police Command, led by Felix Ohagwu, commended the investigative efforts and reassured the public of their commitment to justice.
