Sokoto State Government Provides Relief to Banditry Victims, Distributes N69.5m Aid

Sokoto State government disbursed N69.5m and rice to victims of banditry in Kware, Gwadabawa local government area. Governor Aliyu announced that families of those killed would receive N2 million and five bags of rice, while the injured would get three bags of rice.

The governor condemned the attack as inhumane and urged the community to cooperate with security agencies to combat banditry. He highlighted the role of informants in fueling insecurity and called for their exposure.

The incident left 22 people dead and four injured. The government is committed to restoring lasting peace in the state.
