Sokoto State Government Allocates N1.6bn for Hospital Renovations and HIV Test Kits

The Sokoto State Government has approved N1.6bn for renovating six general hospitals and procuring HIV test kits. Dr.

Faruk Wurno disclosed this after a state executive council meeting. The renovation projects will cover hospitals in Yabo, Shagari, Sabon Birni, Tangaza, Goronyo, and WCWC in Sokoto.

Additionally, the government approved the procurement of HIV test kits worth N100.076 million. The state also highlighted its budget and economic plans, including expenditures on education, infrastructure, and cultural preservation.

Governor Ahm Aliyu reaffirmed the government's commitment to fast-tracking socio-economic development in Sokoto.
