Sokoto Agency Prepares for 2026 Hajj with Luggage Delivery

The Sokoto State Pilgrim Welfare Agency has taken delivery of luggage for the 2026 Hajj, indicating a major advancement in preparations for the annual pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. Alhaji Aliyu Musa, the chairman of the agency, inspected the items and expressed satisfaction with their quality and timely arrival.

This delivery is part of ongoing efforts to ensure a seamless Hajj operation, aiming to provide pilgrims from Sokoto State with a smooth and hitch-free experience. Musa emphasized that the agency is leaving no stone unturned in its preparations, which include logistics, welfare programs, and proper guidance for intending pilgrims.

The agency is also intensifying its enlightenment campaign across 23 local government areas in Sokoto State to educate pilgrims on the rites and rules of the pilgrimage. Musa reiterated the importance of the Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, and stated that every financially and physically capable Muslim is expected to undertake it at least once in their lifetime.
