Sokoto Residents Warned Against Handling Remnants of US Airstrikes

The Nigerian military has issued a warning to Sokoto residents not to handle unexploded ordnance left behind from recent US airstrikes against Daesh-linked camps. Major General Michael Onoja emphasized the dangers of tampering with the debris and urged civilians to leave recovery work to trained personnel.

The airstrikes, approved by former US President Donald Trump, targeted terrorist elements in Sokoto State. Governor Bola Tinubu described the attacks as significant foreign-enabled military actions on Nigerian soil.
