Soludo Appoints New Governing Council for Ojukwu University

On Tuesday, Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State announced the appointment of Prof.

Peter Azikiwe Onwualu as the Chairman/Pro-Chancellor of the governing council of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam. Prof.

Onwualu is currently the Vice Chancellor of the African University of Science and Technology in Abuja and has previously served as the Director-General/CEO of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council. Alongside him, four other members were appointed to the governing council: Chief Christoph Ndubuisi, HRH Igwe Chidium Oranu, Prof.

Josephat O. Ogbuagu, and AIG (Rtd) Sir Chris Ezik.

The governor expressed confidence that the new council members would bring a wealth of diverse experience and values to the university, enhancing its vision for greater academic excellence. Prof.

Onwualu is recognized for his significant contributions to agricultural materials engineering in Nigeria and has authored over 200 publications, holds 10 patents, and has received awards from 70 organizations.
