Soludo Sworn in for Second Term as Anambra Governor

On Tuesday, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo was inaugurated for his second term as the Governor of Anambra State at Dr.

Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka. The ceremony was attended by notable figures including Vice President Alhaji Kashim Shettima, former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, and other dignitaries.

Soludo took the oath of office at exactly 11:50 AM, accompanied by his wife, Dr. Nony Soludo, and the Chief Judge of the state.

In his acceptance speech, he reviewed his first term, stating that he had delivered 90% of his manifesto projects, including the Ekwulobia flyover and a new government house. He expressed his commitment to tackling insecurity and urban regeneration, declaring that Anambra is "back to winning ways." Soludo also encouraged collaboration among political leaders to build a better Anambra and highlighted the importance of the upcoming 2027 presidential elections, urging the Igbo people not to waste their votes.

Vice President Shettima praised Soludo's leadership and the development strides made in Anambra.
