Soludo Warns Non-Performing Staff During Secretariat Visit

On Thursday, Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State made an unscheduled visit to the state secretariat in Awka to evaluate staff conduct, punctuality, and overall dedication to public service.

During this inspection, he engaged directly with personnel to assess the prevailing work culture within the civil service. Soludo described his observations as a mix of good, bad, and ugly, commending the disciplined civil servants who maintain professional integrity and adhere strictly to official work hours.

He emphasized that commitment is central to the administration's development agenda. The governor issued a warning to non-performing staff who fail to align with the administration's vision, highlighting issues such as absenteeism and tardiness.

He stated that such behaviors would no longer be tolerated. Soludo aims to build a civil service that is agile and efficient, focusing on three key pillars of reform: deploying technology, enhancing transparency, and strengthening supervisory evaluations to ensure accountability and sustainable infrastructure improvements.
