Soludo Sworn in as Anambra Governor, Highlights Security Gains

On Tuesday, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo was sworn in for his second term as the Governor of Anambra State during a ceremony held at the newly renovated Dr.

Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka. He asserted that security in Anambra has significantly improved, citing the dismantling of 62 criminal camps across eight local government areas.

This progress has led to a notable return of 10,000 visitors during the 2025 Yuletide season, marking it as one of the safest periods in recent years. Soludo also discussed ongoing urban regeneration efforts, including nearly 3,000 kilometers of road improvements and a focus on digital skills training for 300,000 youths.

He emphasized the state's commitment to education, with the recruitment of 8,115 new teachers and substantial investments in public school infrastructure. The ceremony was attended by his deputy, Onychukwu Ibezim, and Chief Judge Onochie Anyachebelu administered the oath of office.
