Soludo's Road Project Transforms Travel and Economy in Anambra

The completion of the 16.4 km Nawfija-Ajali-Ogbunka road by Anambra State Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo has drastically reduced travel time to 15 minutes, as highlighted by Mr.

Obiag Okwubanego, Chief of the Boardwalk Group in Abuja. This road project is described as a major economic lifeline for the Orumba South Local Government Area.

Previously, residents faced severe traffic congestion, often spending several hours during festive periods. The road was conceived during a campaign when Soludo faced challenges transporting his mother’s casket due to poor road conditions.

Okwubanego emphasized the road's significant benefits for agriculture, particularly for palm oil production, and its potential to boost tourism by improving access to attractions like the Oji stream. The project reflects Soludo's commitment to infrastructure development and economic transformation in Anambra State, with Okwubanego urging for further extensions to connect communities to the national grid.
