Nonye Soludo, the wife of Anambra State Governor, reacted to the stripping of a female corps member by vigilantes by contacting the state vigilance operative, Jennifer Elohor, to sympathize with her. The incident, which occurred in Anambra, was reported by Soludo during a meeting at the New Government House in Awka on August 20.

A video of the incident went viral, showing armed operatives storming the corps member's lodge and accusing them of internet fraud. Despite the corps member's identification and pleas for help, she was stripped naked, beaten, and left bleeding.

The Anambra State Police Command confirmed the assault and stated that the vigilante member involved had been arrested and detained pending investigation. The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many Nigerians demanding justice for the victim.
